NUS SGFIN Gallery Walk | MSc SGF Capstone Projects AY25/26
5 Aug 2026
The smoother the journey is, the sweeter the end.
On 5 August 2026, SGFIN held its annual Gallery Walk, featuring final projects from the graduating cohort of the MSc programme in Sustainable and Green Finance (MSGF). The flagship event served as a platform for senior students to present their findings on pressing sustainable finance challenges and for the incoming cohort to learn and exchange with their seniors about learning experiences.
NUS Provostโs Chair Professor and Vice Dean (Research & PhD) Prof Tien Foo Sing delivered the opening speech, followed by five presentations:
Nature and Insurance by Isabell Chewโs group โ An analytical framework on the viability of including mangroves in insurance as coastal protection measures.
Climate Adaptation in Southeast Asia by Cabrini Chowโs group โ An assessment of climate adaptation risk quantification and disclosure gap among ASEAN firms.
Decoupling ESG from Regulation by Sambridha S.โs group โ An ESG framework for the APAC market built on understanding of disclosure gaps validated through interviews with institutional investors.
Evaluating Climate-related Initiatives of Bursa & SGX Listed Companies by Kaylee L.โs group โ Insights into the maturity of climate-related initiatives of Malaysian and Singaporean public firms and how they affected financial performance.
Designing an Infrastructure Financing Tool for ASEAN by Meenakshi Venkatachalamโs group โ An Excel-based tool for structuring infrastructure development funding in ASEAN countries.
The seniors Isabell, Tau Hui Ying, Sambridha, Kaylee (Li Weixi), and Meenakshi then shared their experiences working on the capstone project, highlighting the importance of teamwork, mid-term feedback, and how it prepared them for their post-MSGF careers.
The closing remarks by SGFIN Deputy Director and MSGF Academic Director Prof Zhang Weina highlighted the hard work behind the scenes by academic supervisors, the MSc team, the SGFIN team, and corporate partners in curating, supporting, and interacting with the students in their capstone journey.
The Gallery Walk ended with a networking session over coffee and project posters, where insights were exchanged and new professional connections forged.
Beyond showcasing the capstone projects, the Gallery Walk underscored the commitment and ingenuity of MSGFโs graduating class of 2027, which we hoped inspired the incoming class of 2028.
Congratulations to the seniors, and welcome to the new cohort!
